150/365. What Happens When You Can Afford To Hire Movers.

...you are capable of parking not just one but TWO cars in your garage on the day you moved in.

Color me jealous. It's going to be awhile before we can get one in there. These are our new neighbors. Haven't met them yet. Or any others.

See? She looks up, too.

147/365. Settled.

As predicted, Zoey is extremely comfortable in the new house. We're still working on Tubby...she alternates between exploring and hiding in the closet.

146/365.Again With the Camera, Mom?

Today we headed to Sheila's house with some other of my mom friends and their kids. We were late because we were getting new brakes on the truck, but we still had a great time. I did, anyway...Sophie pretty much slept the whole time. We had had a rough day or two before at home where Sophie would NOT sleep if I put her down. By nighttime last night I was in the crazy tired new mom breakdown tears because I really just wanted to take a shower, brush my teeth, and put on clean underwear (Which I did get, by the way...at 11:30pm).

Moral of that story: I REALLY needed out of the house. She did too. We go out and about well together - I wonder why we don't do it more often.

I feel like a new woman. Human, even.

143/365. Cupcake Butt.

This outfit was from a co-worker at the VA. 2 weeks ago it was WAY too big! According to our scale at home, she has gained 4lbs in her one month of life already!

Here is the front:

I now know exactly where Sophie gets her DeNiro expression.

140/365. Splashy Feets.

Her little toes looked so cute poking around in the water I couldn't resist.

And speaking of not resisting...these pics were too cute to leave out, too. She is clearly planning her world domination in the bottom one.

139/365. Someday, Curiousity Might Kill You.

...or freeze you to death.

With a newborn, I've learned to do everything one-handed. Today, as I was making one-handed lunch, I had to get my stuff from the fridge in 2 steps. Look away for a second and this is what I come back to.

137/365. Stretch Marks.

Call me a freak, but I like my stretch marks. My other hip matches.

Also I swear this is my hip and not my butt...although I admit it kind of looks like it is.

136/365. Hypocrites.

You all know how much I love to get angry about the way people park in front of our house. Well...here the offender is the very same one whose job it is to enforce it. Obnoxious.

134/365. She's Definitely Ours.

I'm cheating. This picture isn't actually from today, it's from yesterday. We closed on our new house today so we've been a little distracted. We did not set this up - she just had her finger like that!

Who goes to close on a brand new house and leaves with a check, a gift card to home depot and home made chocolate chip cookies from our mortgage guy, and 3 plants for our new yard from our real estate agent? We do, apparently.

133/365. Keys.

See these? I don't think we're supposed to have these yet.

These are keys to our new house. We close tomorrow at 10am, but went there for a walkthrough today.  We ran into the builder while we were there today, and he just handed us the keys as he was leaving.

Everything. looks. awesome.  This was the first time we'd seen it since the counters were put in the kitchen and bathrooms and the dishwasher put in. As we pulled into the neighborhood I actually felt myself having a little anxiety about how the kitchen counters were going to look but I am definitely not disappointed!

While we are busy closing tomorrow, the rest of the appliances will be installed and the mirrors hung in the bathrooms and it will be all ours.

Crazy.

My FIF Carmen makes these shirts for all of the babies born in our group of friends - she's not going to fit in this one for long! Growing so fast.

It's mother's day and April came over to hang out for awhile - she made me these and I can't stop eating them.

My first Mother's Day

A relaxing day with my beautiful baby and my husband - EXACTLY what I wanted!  Corey got me a very sweet card and wrote something even sweeter on it.  I keep taking it out and reading it, and I have a feeling I will keep it around and read it several more times.

Later on, April came over and made me some chocolate covered strawberries - I will be eating them for days but OMG they are delicious.

Here are a few pics from the day (that you've probably seen already on my daily photos - oh well!).
